Your Turn

So now that I have revealed our past to you, you are now obligated to reveal your presence to me. Heh. You didn't know there was involvement involved, did you??

You see, for the past year, this blog has been to some extent neglected. I suspect that the readership has dwindled to somewhere between zero to three, therefore, it makes me feel like the whole endeavor is a bit pointless. But there's a high possibility that if I know of your existence I will feel more inspired. And if you tell me what you might like to see more of, or some of... it might make me incredibly inspired. You just have to help me out here.

So, answer me this...
Who are you?
What brings you here?
What do you like to see?

I'm Jen from Canada, and I've been reading your blog since around the time you got married. I can't remember how I found you though.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your post deployment life. :)

I'm Anne from Pennsylvania and I've been following your blog for a couple of years, back when it was Aletheia Liberty (or however you spell it!).

I'm in the midst of planning my own wedding so it's been neat to read your posts as you walk down memory lane:).

I'm Megan, and I think I commented on your blog a long time ago when I read your courtship story from YLCF. I clicked here from somewhere else about a month ago, and I've been following ever since. :)

I'm Rebecca.

I read because...I like your pictures, you're a cute couple, plus ya'll are a military couple. I like reading about military families. Keeps the sacrifice you're making fresh in my mind. I just like your blog. :)

Definitely would say I can't wait until your husband comes back and you tell us how your life has changed. Of course, we know it's going to be a good change. But I'm sure there have been things that you have gotten used to doing yourself and when he gets back, I can imagine things will be a bit different.

I'm James and I met Andy about 10 years ago when his parents and I flew to a conference together. I'm looking forward to staying up to date with a friend and his new family. :-)

Hi Brittney!

Jenna - from eastern U.S. and now married and living in Canada with my husband.

It's a strange thing to be "following" a few people I have never met via their blogs -- makes me feel a bit like a stalker. :p

I came across your blog awhile ago when you posted on Aletheia Liberty. I have a feeling you have had lots more readers than just 0-3, even when your posts were few and far-between... you are a unique blogger and people are curious to see updates.

I am especially encouraged by the types of posts you published on A.L. -- your thoughts are meaningful & wise and your writing style & ability are beautiful. Of course, I enjoy seeing all the lovely photos, too!

The things I find encouraging are your creativity and your passion for marriage, family life and femininity. I also like how you're "non-conformist" and don't just go-with-the-flow of the masses.

Maybe keep up what you're doing but also share a few more of your thoughts like you did before? I'm not one to talk, though... I know how different life is when you're married vs. when you're not. You are more distracted and don't quite have as much time to sit and record all your "deep thoughts". ;) (I gave up blogging entirely!)

Hope all is well and the countdown number is very small for Andy's homecoming day.

Take care!

P.S. It that a picture of a new puppy?

I'm Chantel, married to the best guy in the world (Okay, you're allowed to disagree. ;) ) for 10 months, and keeping hearth and home in North Idaho, currently.

I'm not positive how I stumbled over here, maybe through YLCF, but I'm thinking not. It was just before/after your wedding and I loved hearing your story and seeing the beautiful pictures.

It was your love that really caught my attention. I'm a firm believer in marrying best friends and in having a real and living love that grows with time and testing and what you share makes me think that's what you have-- and what I've been blessed with too.

I think, too, that the way you express yourself, and portray yourself as a couple makes me feel like, in real life, we'd be good friends, perhaps.

Well, you know who I am, and I have no idea how I found you in the first place... I know it was when you were on your old blog. Now, we're good bloggy friends who are married to military men (who may or may not be able to meet up this year!!!), so keeping up with you is what brings me here, and I'd like to see, um... I don't know. Whatever you want to post about, lol. I just like to read your posts and see what you're up to. :o)

Hi, I am Jayne.

And I have been reading your blog since before you got married, ummm in fact before you began courting. I found you through YLCF, you left a comment on a blog post there I went to your blog (I was feeling alone and depressed, and what you wrote cheered me up SO...), I have been reading it ever since!

What do I like to see? A young woman's journey through life where things are not always perfect, the rough times do come and tears are shed(I prayed with for you when the miscarriage happened), but even so she keeps pressing on and allows God to form her into something wonderful. I have enjoyed watching you go from single to married, and always joyful regardless of your state!

Keep up the good work!
Jayne

Hey dearie!

You know me.

I'm just happy to see you posting again period! :)

(Loved the wedding recap :)

Looking forward to hearing about life in general with your honey when you finally have him back in your arms. Your thoughts and pictures and stories of life... etc. Like the stuff you used to post on Aletheia Liberty.

Oh, lets see some picture updates of your darling niece and nephews! :)

Take care! Katie

I confess! I've been a lurker who never comments, but I'll work on changing that. :o)

I found your site from YLCF and as soon as I realized you are a military wife I've been a regular on your site. I want you to know that I've prayed for your through your deployment/miscarriage/and all that you have been going through this past year. And now, here you are almost at the end of this long time apart from your husband. God is good, isn't He?

I too, am a military wife - to an Air Force pilot. I have enjoyed seeing deployment from another military wife's perspective. It's always neat getting a glimpse into another military wife's life/struggles/joys and knowing that there are others out there who are Christians, who love our husbands (drives me NUTS when women look forward to the "break" that deployment offers them!), who are doing our best to be all that God wants us to be.

Your love for Andy shines through in every post you write! So happy for you that he will be home soon! :o)

In Christ,
Christine

P.S. I have been hoping to blog more about military things/stuff God is teaching me. We keep our blog very private because of security and protection for our family. If you're like me though, and like to get encouragement from reading about other military wives lives, you can give your e-mail or a way to contact you privately and I will send you our link. :o)

Hi Britt,

My name is Megan Root. I'm a friend of the Pillmans and Jessica introduced me to Courtney via online chatting and Courtney told me about your love story when you were still posting on Aletheia Liberty.

I'm also a newlywed, married 9 months to a cousin of the Pillmans (Paul Root). I've enjoyed reading your story because I can relate to many aspects of the courting, engaged and newlywed life. It has been a wonderful adventure. My husband is a pilot, but not in the service. We hope to fly overseas with JAARS supporting Bible translation in the next few years.

Blessings ~ Megan

Hi! :) I read every post...though sometimes not as leisurly as I'd like due to time! And I not only read, but appreciate your thoughts- the humor, the love, the hurts...and of course the great photos! I was recently wondering what happened to the photos- wasn't there a new camera sent to you some time ago? hint! ;)

Hi, Brit!

I came here via a circuitous route! My daughter was a pen pal of your friend Rachel. I started reading her blog and from there found your blog, which I found lovely and God-glorifying. I rejoiced with you in your marriage and have longed for you and your dear husband to be together all the time, enjoying all the blessing of marriage! I would love to hear about your home, what you are doing to prepare for your husband's return, how you spend your time, what spiritual insights the Lord has given you, any prayer requests you might have; and I would like to see some current pictures of your little niece and newphews! Love, Mrs. Pohl

Gosh Brittney, I found you so long ago, years actually. I found you inspiring, loved your pics and your amazing walk with God.

I first commented on your layout WAY before your even met Andrew. Yup a complete stranger I am. But I grew to love you and your values and family.

True, I feel silly commenting but still you asked so here I am. I have followed you every step of the way and cried tears when you lost your sweet bundle of joy. I'm so sorry.

I follow you in bloglines so it's rare that I actually come to your site.

I've been keeping you in my prayers and wish you and your hubby a wonderful reunion.

Blessings - Debbie.

P.S. I'll always be here no matter if I post or not. Just know I'm following you no matter where life takes you and your love.

I'm Kristen from PA, and I started reading Aletheia Liberty because it was linked from the Rebelution's site, and then followed the blog here. I'm getting married this summer so I was excited to see the recap of your courtship, engagement, wedding, and honeymoon. I do miss the quilting posts you used to do on Aletheia Liberty - do you still quilt? Also I love pictures...pictures of just about anything. Your photo editing also creates a really nice effect, and I know how time-consuming that can be so I appreciate it!

My name is Kelley. I'm originally from CT, but am currently travelling the country with my Husband on book tour with his book.
I think I found your blog through your "Story" (maybe through ylcf.org?) and thought you seemed like a nice young lady, and have been a "stalker" ever since. I later fully related with you as I miscarried last July after getting pregnant on our honeymoon.
I like to see posts about what you're up to and how life is. You have a lovely way of putting things!
I'm so excited that your husband is coming home.
Many blessings!

I'm Amanda, from North Queensland, Australia.

I have been following your blog for just over a year now. Have no idea how I came across it, but am glad that I did.

I love reading your blog because it reflects the fact that fairytales do exist. I haven't lived the fairytale life, but I am so blessed that other's get the chance to.

I have a daughter who turns 17 next month. She also loves to read this blog, and it is a wonderful example and testimony to her.... a beautiful example of real, pure love, and a life blessed by the Lord because He is in the centre of it.

I look forward to reading further chapters of you book, as your life story unfolds.

I do look forward to cute little baby pictures that I know will one day grace your blog.

May the Lord continue to bless your union, your lives.

Please don't stop this blog ;) It blesses more than you would realise.

I'm Gretchen...found your blog through Morgan (auntmorgan). I love, love, love your photography and find it fun looking at pictures from your wedding and beyond. I've been married to the most wonderful amazing guy (we "fell in love" at age 15) for 5 months! Since I don't have really any friends that are newly married, I love reading your posts about you and your hubby. Please keep up your blog. I enjoy it very much!

I'd love to have you visit my blog as well (although a lot of it is business related stuff....).

I'm Bethany from Houston. I first saw your blog when it was on someone else's blog list as Alatheia Liberty- the name intrigued me. I love how you adore your husband. Can't wait for him to get back to you, and to hear all about how great that is.

I'm another Bethany from Texas. I've followed you since before you had this blog. I love the beautiful way you express things both in words and pictures. I enjoy it when you write about yourself and Andy, and post pictures of the two of you. Your love for each other is precious to see. There is no doubt that you love each other, and that is just the way it should be! Praying he comes home to you soon!

Hi Brittney! I'm Cheyne (shy nay) and I've been reading your blog oh, since around Feb. 2008...Love the photography and, of course, the "story" that is written with them. I like just what you are doing.
And as for what you call neglect, don't feel bad. You're actually doing great. My family's blog has been neglected for about a year now. Had some problems with pictures being illegally used... but you can register to get in @ www.thelowerbarn.com . Keep on bloggin' even if it's only once a month! *smile*

I'm Kali.

I found your blog through Kristina's Keepsakes.

I live in a military town and a lot of our church members are active or retired military, so I'm pretty familiar with that kind of life. It's always nice to have our deployed church members come home, and I have no doubt you're excited about your husbands return!

Hi. My name is Courtney. (Or is it Brittney?!... people are always getting me confused.)

Anyway, whenever bloglines alerts me to a new post of yours, I check it out. And read your blog. I've actually been doing that since your blog first opened in '08. I've known you for quite a few years now. I think we met back in '85 which now that I think of it, was long before blogs were invented.

You and Andy are a cute couple, by the way. And I'm so happy you guys will get to be a couple under the same roof now. :)

I'm LeAnna, from Oklahoma. I think I found you from Katie or Ashleigh, I can't remember. I started reading around the time you lost your sweet baby. It struck a chord with me because I'd been there, too. I still drop by from time to time, and look forward to reading about your post deployment life. I'm sure you're beyond excited!

I'm Bekah from Louisiana. I'm another one who stumbled across you from the YLCF - I think anyway. It's been a while. I'm subscribed to you which doesn't allow me to comment typically since I don't actually visit your site. My sister thinks I'm a total wierdo for "stalking" you but I CAN'T HELP MYSELF! Your story is SO incredibly sweet it melts my heart almost every time to visit... it gives a girl reason to hope... Reason to keep trusting God! I gotta love how liberal you are with your romantic pictures. The kiss photo will definitely be y'alls "signature" photo! You'll have to do a slideshow at your 50th Anniversary of your best "kiss photos" over the years. ;) You have a lot to start with now!

I rejoice with you over your love's arrival! Praise God for returning him safely to your arms!

Better waaay late than never, but I am reading your blog backwards, which is so beautiful. I have learned more in the past hour (and lost track of time!) than I have in years. You do everything deeply and trust God unwaveringly. You love God, you love the truth, and you love telling people about the beauty that's God's truth for you. It takes a true artist to be able to tell God's truth for you and others in such clarity through your photographs, your writings, your metaphors and comparisons, your use of song and poetry and scripture. It is a priviledge to be given a glimpse into your life.
